This place was just like all the reviews say which I looked up before we went... best gyro in town! Well seasoned gyro meat, tasty tzatziki and fresh vegetables in a soft pita for only $6.25. Hard to beat! The gentleman who took our order and brought it out was kind and friendly as well. Great food and experience.

The spot has the best gyro in town! Fantastic food and great service! They serve generous portions both their gyros and their hamburgers! Their veggies are always crisp and fresh. Great flavor and great experience each time!

Stopped in for a late lunch and loved it. We each had the gyro platter. Everything was fresh and very tasty. We will definitely go back next time we are in town.

Great for good fast Greek food. Portions are large and the cost is inexpensive. Really one of the best options in town for Greek.

This place is just as good as all of the reviews I looked at before going said! The people working there were very nice and we got our food quickly. We ordered the gyro platter and souvlaki platter and the portions and quality of food were amazing for the price! We will definitely be going back!

when i go to the UF campus i usually plan on a gyro or gyro salad from The Spot. Their lamb is very good. i never had the chicken gyro meat but my friend did and he said it was good and the meat wasn't dry. the ambience is lacking (it is a college town afterall) but easy to overlook as it isn't crowded. very nice people behind the counter. you will not be disappointed if you are after a gyro. they have other foods there (burgers and such) but i haven't tried them. enjoy!

The Spot is my favorite place to eat in Gainesville. I always get the gyro platter and substitute the pita bread for a larger salad for free. They give so much great quality food for an amazing price. And everyone is very nice there. Highly recommend!

Best Greek in town! There is really nothing else to say. The lamb was great, the pita was fresh and fluffy. The meat was cooked perfectly and the veggies were fresh and crisp. The sauce was fabulous and the pita bread fresh. Fries and onion rings were cooked well...crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Hope to try more of their menu soon! Our portions were generous.

Really good quality food at a reasonable price. Portion sizes are perfect, and don’t leave you wanting more. The owners are really nice and have been very careful & proactive with food handling during the pandemic, which is awesome to see. (Also - Definitely get a side of fries with basically anything you order. You’ll be happy you did!)

Best gyro spot in Gainesville easily because of quality ingredients. Quality 10/5, customer service 10/5, price 10/5Less than 20$ for two people I got a gyro and my bf got a chicken souvlakia We also got hummus and pita EVERYTHING FRESH AND DELICIOUS Will be back probably... this week!This is truly THE SPOT.

Had my first meal their today and it was fantastic! I got a gyro with a side of onion rings. They loaded that gyro up and it was incredible. If you haven’t been here yet, do yourself a favor and go. You’ll get a lot of great food without breaking the bank. Oh, and the owners are very nice too.

Amazing gyro platter with Greek feta cheese salad. Serve really fast and hot, highly recommend for lunch or dinner

This place is a gem right next to the university campus. They have some incredible gyros. This whole plaza really is amazing and this restaurant helps keep it special. My only issue with them is that I believe their portions could be better and their seating could be more comfortable. They are not the biggest issues, especially when the food is good.

Great place to get a gyro. Me and my fiance decided to try it out and I had the chicken Ryder that was outstanding and the fries were pretty good. They do not cheap you on the amount of meat that you get. The prices are really really good. You will come out of there full and happy. The fries needed more seasoning but they were pretty good. The service was great and they asked us how the food was before we went. I wish I could've tried the wings but they ran out of them. I will definitely try them next time.

This place is delicious and authentic. The family is very nice as well. I always enjoy going here and they are very passionate about their food.

It's a quiet little place where some of the real estate is still under construction. Food was good with great portions. We will be back.

The Spot is an amazing place to eat at. The workers are friendly, the service is amazing, and the food is exquisite. The prices are all reasonable, the portion sizes are large, and you never find yourself waiting around for your order. This is a go-to spot for me and my friends over the weekends. 10/10 would recommend!

There is a great gyro place I eat at often back home so I've been searching for something like it and I found it! The Spot is located in Midtown and is convenient for students who attend the university. I usually get the gyro combo with extra tzatziki sauce. The meat is always delicious and hot, the fries are always fresh and well seasoned. The service is great and fast making it a great place to stop in. Seating is limited as it's in a plaza of sorts, but it's usually never a problem.

I came to The Spot for lunch. We had called in our large order and it was ready when we arrived. The service was prompt. This is a small place and it was clean and efficient. We took our food to go. The order was complete and everyone enjoyed their meal. One person had the burger, one had the Reuben, one had a Gyro, and I had the Spinach pie and salad platter. Mine was delicious and the meat sandwiches where piled high. The cost is reasonable. Please note this is next to the parking garage across from the University. So parking may be tough from time to time but we walked from campus so it was not an issue. I will be back.

Fair pricing for what you get, if you get bacon on your burger prepare for BACON. They stack it here, also my friends ordered their Gyro's and it's stacked with meat. Would recommend.

Good food, good service. Covid makes everything more difficult.
